Today The Walt Disney Company announced that they will be giving $ 1 million dollars to the OneOrlando Fund, a fund that was established by Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, to help assist those who were affected by the shooting at Pulse Nightclub. The company will also be matching dollar for dollar donations from Disney employees through Disney Employee Matching Gifts: A Program of The Walt Disney Company Foundation.

The company is working with other agencies in Central Florida to help support those who may need assistance. Blood drives are ongoing throughout the resort property for those cast members who would like to give blood.

“We are heartbroken by this tragedy and hope our commitment will help those in the community affected by this senseless act,” said Bob Chapek, chairman, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. “With 74,000 Cast Members who call Orlando home, we mourn the loss of the victims and offer our condolences to their families, friends and loved ones.”

The Walt Disney Company in conjunction with the City of Orlando and the Central Florida Hotel and Lodging Association will be providing complimentary accommodations for the families and friends of the victims.

If you would like to help donate to the OneOrlando Fund you can do so by going to www.oneorlando.org.
